Last Year’s (2015) most popular class project

Book Box For blog post (1)

The idea for this “Book Box Filled with Flowers” came from my Pinterest board called Beautiful Books.   I thought this was such a pretty idea that I decided to try to make one.   I received lots of compliments on my book box and many people asked how I had made it.

Bookboard was used to construct the box, which is designed to look like a book. It can be displayed either flat or upright.  The box is decorated with Couture Creations Vintage Rose Garden paper collection,, Stampin’ UP! lace, Wycinanka die cuts, SU tulle ribbon and various other items from my personal stash. The flowers were purchased from an Etsy shop called “Thai Flowers.”

I use the box as a pretty table decoration.  also sometimes I display it under a glass dome in a display cabinet of my work.  There are many tutorials on book boxes, why not have a try at making one for yourself. The possibilities are endless for what to put inside. The also make lovely and special  gifts.  I hope you like my book box idea. And give some thought to making one of your own.

  1. Thank you for your lovely words. It is a very pretty box and the ladies that came to the class were all over the moon with theirs. It is well worth giving it a try, I hope you do give it a try and share what you come up with. Barbara

    1. Thank you for your lovely comment Nikki, I needed to hear that today. I just made a bit of a hash of something I spent all morning on. No doubt everyone has days like that now and then.
