Commission for a Birthday Card

A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO I had a request to make a birthday card with a beach or nautical theme.  I was a little stumped because although I have a cupboard full of stamps, nautical or beach themes had evaded my collection.

I have a desire to learn to watercolour properly, so I decided to have a try at making a tiny watercolour.

Using my Stampin’ UP! Inkpads, in so saffron, summer starfruit and crushed curry, and lots of water,  I created my little beach scene, soft sky for the sky and a mixture of soft sky and Island indigo for the sea.  I used Stampin’ UP! markers to create the palm trees and highlights with Signo white gel pen.

It is a responsibility making something for someone else, especially something as personal as a birthday card.  I hope my client likes what I have made.

Leave me a comment, tell me what you think. Be kind.
